"With the help of orthokeratology you can say goodbye to your glasses and disposable contact lenses."

SleepNSee (SNS) also known as corneal refractive therapy (CRT) is a technique of reshaping the cornea using a specially designed rigid contact lens.

Here's how it works:

  • Lenses are worn during sleep overnight and are removed first thing in the morning.

  • During the night the contact lens gently reshape the front surface of the eye, correcting the refractive error and allowing clear vision through all waking hours without the need for glasses or contact lenses. The correction is achieved by applying gentle pressure to the centre of the cornea to flatten it slightly. This reduces the optical power of the cornea, thus correcting myopia.

  • Apart from the refractive status of your eyes, there are many factors that may influence your suitability for overnight SNS lens wear. In general, this procedure is only suitable for candidates with good ocular and general health and relatively low prescriptions. If you know your prescription isĀ  5.00D of myopia or under then you could be suitable for SNS.

It is also important to have the dexterity to handle the lenses for insertion and removal and must closely follow Optometrist instructions on lens wearing schedule and lens care procedures to ensure safe lens wear and to achieve the best outcome.

Now you can be free from contact lenses and glasses during your daily activities without undergoing surgery and enjoy great vision!
